Team Member of the Quarter
March 2022

Ian oversees 12 communities in Texas. The February 2021 storm impacted every community on his watch because they all share one, independent power grid. It was a disaster like none other. The best thing he could do for his communities was to be the communications hub. On the phone each day to their dining directors, their clients, and their sister sectors, he’d find the gaps and fills the needs. It was quite a dance to locate the resources in one place that were needed by another, but day by day he worked his way through it. He shifted water, paper goods, food, and chemicals. He even shipped MREs to the Army Retirement Community, because he knew the army vets would be delighted to see them. The disaster training paid off! With the help of dedicated associates, network partners, and suppliers who eventually made it through, they were able to feed the residents and a huge number of community team members throughout the longest week of their lives.
